Resilient Milk

35 × 50 cm
Colored pencil on paper

A tongue-in-cheek title that works on two levels.
A product meant to be temporary, extended beyond its natural life.
The contradiction sits at the center.

The packaging is fully documented, from language to symbols.
What begins as milk becomes something else.
A cultural document held in place.

Resilient Milk operates across two registers. It is both a direct translation and a reflection on preservation. A product defined by its short lifespan, extended through industrial treatment into something with unnatural longevity.

The work takes the form of a rigid square, meticulously documenting the packaging surface. Text, multiple languages, kosher certifications, and regulatory marks are rendered with equal weight.

What emerges is not simply an image of milk, but a system. The packaging becomes an artifact, where culture, authority, and everyday consumption intersect.

This piece took 23 hours and 42 minutes to complete, spread across several weeks.
