3% Pink sits between the clinical and the emotional. The title suggests measurement, while the image moves in the opposite direction.
The work uses colored pencils and simple markers, tools associated with children’s drawings. Every stroke remains visible, creating a raw and direct surface.
A recognizable dairy character is repeated and slightly distorted, taking over the object. The pink dominates, turning something everyday into something harder to ignore.
The tension sits between control and excess, function and identity.
This piece took 27 hours and 13 minutes to complete, spread across several weeks.
