The Tin Man

A simple object, slowed down.
Something meant to be used and discarded.

Dense marks seal the surface.

The Tin Man takes its name from the character in The Wizard of Oz. A figure built to function, defined by the question of whether something is missing inside.

The object portrayed here is simple and disposable. But in this piece, it’s held in place.

Dense, repetitive marks transform the surface, making it feel sealed, almost metallic. As if preserved beyond its purpose.

A date sits on top like a stamp. A moment fixed in time. The work asks when something designed to serve begins to carry meaning.

This piece took 35 hours and 44 minutes to complete, spread across several weeks.

This is a 1/1 original. No copies, no reprints, the only version that will ever exist. Made with high-quality oil-based pencils on acid-free paper. The products shown are original drawings and paintings of Israeli cultural icons, created solely for artistic and cultural commentary.
